Presentation Inspectieraad: How do supervisors get their reputation?

On September 29, 2022, the Inspectieraad hosted a meeting with communication professionals from Dutch regulatory agencies. Lauren Fahy presented on this meet-up and discussed how supervisors get their reputation.

Her presentation covered contemporary academic theory on regulatory agency reputation formation, the contribution of the Toezicht met Gezag project, and specific research projects involving Dutch agencies that are currently ongoing. After the presentation, we took part in a robust roundtable discussion with communication professionals. This conversation made clear that regulators in diverse sectors nevertheless often face similar challenges of reputation and reputation management.
